Don’t be left Hungry at the Dinner table this Easter!

Happy Easter Weekend Fam!

I'm shooting you a quick note to say don't be hungry at the dinner table this year.  Just because you are vegan, or making a lifestyle change by eating better.  Take this advice, the 7 P's.  

Prior Proper Planning, Prevents Piss Poor Performance!

Make a meal for yourself to take with you.  I do this all the time. I travel with food so that I'm not sitting around watching everyone else eat.  I know that I have dietary restrictions, and I can't put my restrictions on everyone else. I'm vegan, and I'm allergic to dairy. That doesn't mean I can't eat.   Follow the 7 P's and prep food to take with you, and make enough to share.  You could change someone elses outlook on eating better.

So while you are indulging in family this year for Easter/Resurrection dinner, pay attention to what you are eating. 
  • Don't Over Cook Your Veggies :
    • Your veggies should be the color they are when you purchased them.  Those greens shouldn't be brown! They should be GREEN! If the color is gone, so are all the nutrients.
  • Don't Over Eat
    • Just because ALL that food is there, doesn't mean you have to EAT IT ALL
  • Dessert doesn't have to be Cakes & Pies
    • Fresh Fruit can serve and satisfy that sweet tooth
  • Drink Water
    • Have a glass of water before you start eating, it will curve your appetite, I promise
Well, I'm gonnna practice what I preach and do the same.  I've included some simple recipes that you can make that will shock the family that it's plant based and tasty!
