Our 20 Min Meal Class was AWESOME!

We had so much fun in our 20 Min Meal Class! The recipes were nice and easy, but the taste was out of this world! We sampled foods from Breakfast to Dinner but we decided to eat backwards! So we had dinner first and breakfast ended up being the best dessert.. I mean treat ever!!

Our first course was Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos, literally from Jesus! These tacos have just the right spice to wake you up from food boredom! They are filled with dark leafy greens, topped with perfectly baked Cauliflower bathed in Buffalo Sauce from Sweet Baby Rays, and Franks Buffalo Sauce and drizzled with fresh Guacamole Salsa!

Ok, I have to tell the TRUTH

I've been missing in action, I know. I owe recipes, and updates. I know, I know. I've been keeping things to myself because, if you know me, I think I can fix everything. Lies. That is a boldface lie. Sometimes, you have to just live and let God!

Since you guys are my Family too, I have to ask for a favor. I need you all to say a prayer for me for some important things in my life.

This Weeks Recipes: Vegan Steaks, Watermelon Refreshers, & Que’s Pasta Salad!

We had a blast at our June Class!

Talk about a pre 4th of July Vegan BBQ!  We learned how to make homemade seitan, and it tasted phenomenal!  Beyond Meat gave us amazing options to have for the plant based eaters in our lives.  We sampled their burgers, which I love and obsess with, and their new sausages.  I don't know what they do, but the smokey taste make my tastebuds soo happy!

For dessert, instead of loading up with cakes and pies, we had watermelon refreshers which are always a crowd pleaser.  I don't think people think that lime, mint, and watermelon go together.  #TheyDo! #Hello!

Is Your Salmon Safe?

The fish industry, Salmon in particular, is facing an increase in parasites ... worms ... in this case - Sea Lice. Note that Sea Lice IS naturally present in Wild Caught Salmon, however it is thriving heavily in the Farm Raised environment, so much, that it is disruptive.

This could mean that the fish that ends up on your plate has the parasite (that you would then ingest) or toxic chemicals will be used to "control" the Sea Lice (that you would then ingest).

If you choose to eat fish as apart of your diet, be EXTREMELY CAREFUL and PICKY in your selection and source of fish as you don't want parasites to choose you as their new home. As yucky or extreme as that may sound - it's the truth guys - and if you must, we suggest you purchase Wild Caught over Farm Raised - as the fish comes from it's natural environment.

Protect your temple and consider transitioning to a more plant-based diet.

7 things that successful people do before 8 a.m.

Good Morning

I thought about you! God woke me up and the first person he had me think about was YOU!

What will make you better today than what you were yesterday. That was my thought after being the last person to go to sleep, but being the first person awake, gives you a different perspective. I wanted to tell YOU that YOU ARE LOVED! I wanted to share with you some of the things that I do before 8 am.

It will be IMPORTANT TO YOU! It will make your day better.

1. Pray

My relationship with God is the most important thing in my life, and it keeps me sane, and mentally ready for anything that could happen today. Why you may ask? It does. My brain says we are here for a bigger purpose than to just serve ourselves. We are here to build the kingdom, so I pray for everyone, and if there are specific people on my heart, or my prayer wall, I do so.

Let’s Keep it Cheesy: Daiya Cheese

Hi Family 🙂

We are talking about one of my favorite vegan cheeses today.  My go to for vegan cheese in many of my recipes is the one... the only Daiya.  It does exactly what I want a cheese to do, it melts, it stretches, it's pretty amazing!  It's completely vegan, soy free, diary free, nut free  its all around the best thing I've had since I went Vegan almost 4 years ago!!!!!

Check out the new Cooking With Que episode about Daiya , that I just posted!

Cooking With Que #FauxThanksgiving #PopUp

I wondered what would happen if I went against the grain and cooked something different this year for the holidays. Everyone expects turkey on Thanksgiving and I wanted to try out a new recipe and see if the turkey would be missed.

I was like a mad scientist trying to figure out what food would be filling to my guests, and then see how I could pull this all together and not spend a crap load of money. My brain said, you have to have a Cooking With Que #FauxThanksgivingDinner #PopUp. That sounds weird right? Oh, but that’s exactly what it was.
